In 2006, I came to the United States with a dream of building a better future for my family. Like many immigrants, I started from the bottom. My very first job was as a dishwasher at a Japanese restaurant in South Carolina. The work was not easy, but I was grateful for the opportunity and determined to work hard.

After a few months, my brother-in-law began teaching me how to cook as a hibachi chef. While learning the craft, I continued working as a dishwasher and busser. Day by day, I gained experience, improved my skills, and learned the value of perseverance.

Over the years, I worked in many Japanese restaurants across Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. Every restaurant taught me something new, and every challenge helped me grow. My wife and children have always been my motivation. Every long shift, every sacrifice, every hour away from home was done with the hope of giving them a better life and more opportunities.

When the COVID-19 pandemic began, I lost my job. It was one of the hardest times my family and I faced. But giving up was never an option. I worked as a DoorDash and Uber driver to continue supporting my family. No matter how difficult life became, I kept moving forward because my children were counting on me.

When the pandemic ended, I started a food truck and catering business, traveling throughout Georgia: Thomaston, Barnesville, Gray, and many other towns. Every event and every customer reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.

In 2022, my sister and I took over a Chinese restaurant in Forsyth, Georgia. While helping run the restaurant, I continued operating my food truck to earn extra income for my children's education and future. Every dollar earned represented another step toward the dream of owning a restaurant my family could call our own.

While traveling and serving customers throughout the region, I learned that a space was available for lease. I saw an opportunity to take a leap of faith. With the love and support of my family, I decided to take that chance.

Today, that dream has become a reality. This restaurant is more than just a business. It represents years of hard work, sacrifice, faith, and determination. A reminder that no matter where you start in life, with dedication and perseverance, dreams can come true.
